Oh yes, the Los Angeles County Museum, Pacific Asia Museum, SF Museum of Fine Arts, Amsterdam Tropen Museum, London Victoria and Albert, Paris Galeria, It’s always an adventure.
HOW DOES WEARING VINTAGE AID THE ENVIROMENT?
We have learned not to reject items, the stigma that you need to throw something away because it has a hole in it. To re-purpose it. Donations to the Salvation Army or bundled into rag houses. Even mis-matched shoes are finding homes in countries of poverty where people are happy to receive any shoes at all. Everything is used. And I think that communication and knowledge goes towards things being used and reused. It inspires young people who don’t have a lot of money to approach fashion in a new way of putting things together that don’t necessarily match and it is a way that the creative youth influence fashion now.
