achilles+persephone

while snapping and shopping in the most (you say conservative, i say racist) town on the eastcoast. i was brought to a store that satisfied my desire to get crumbs on things i'm purchasing. in the front there were movable racks with labels like surface to air, alexander wang, and bingbang. in the back sits the restaurant Persephone, which i hear comes with its own celeb like chef. those who bore easily can play guitar hero and sip drinks while whomever you came with shops till they drop. its on summer street in boston. seek and destroy!

sky patrol

since i live in an up and coming hood, i stress the words up and coming. the cops like to circle round peoples houses for 30 minute intervals everyday. at first i was like hmm, that's kind of entertaining, and then my spidey sense kicked in and i realized its straight up harrassment. i don't think every neighborhood should be a silverlake-where families-regardless of their or their childrens gang affiliation should be kicked out and sent to live somewhere on that highway that leads to pomona. when kids who look like a bag of skittles and ride fixies to high end coffee beaneries. but hey, what can i say i think me and my boyfriend are part of the gentrification happening here, i mean i named the neighborhood echorea-and most likely is called something else, but i got the kids saying it-so i'm probably just as bad as the sky roaches.

i spend money on purple magazine because i'm usually never disappointed and for the most part they keep it fresh. to celebrate their 15th year of greatness they have put out this anthology. go get it and be inspired to do something original or to rip it off and claim you came up with the idea.
